Career Plans
Your first job may not be your dream job, but it will take you one step toward bigger and better things. Take a moment to brainstorm dream jobs that you would like to have and the paths that could lead you there.

Your Turn Make a chart like the one above. List your dream jobs in the left column, and write the things you could do to finally land those jobs in the other columns.
Applying Yourself
Think about somewhere you would like to work that is near your home. Then do the following activity.
Your Turn Go to the place that you would like to work and see if they are hiring. If so, request a job application. Photocopy the application and practice filling it out. If you actually want to apply for the job, make a neat final copy on the original application and turn it in to the business. If that place isn’t hiring, find another that is.
