Planning Throughout the Process

A planning sheet is important to any project, from preparing a video report to building a doghouse to arranging a camping trip. Your plan will guide you through the inquiry process and serve as an invaluable reference at each stage of a project.

Organizing

The planning sheet focuses your thoughts and orders the elements necessary for completing a project.

Gathering

The planning sheet guides you as you use resources to collect information and bring team members and tools together to complete tasks.

Developing

The planning sheet reminds you of your project’s goal and objectives, governing your progress and keeping you on track.

Evaluating

The planning sheet provides the goal and objectives that you will use in your rubric sheet. (See pages 416–417.) In that way, your plan helps you evaluate and improve your project.
