Improving Study Skills

Good habits don’t just happen. In the beginning, you must work at them and continue doing them until, finally, you do them automatically. That’s when good habits can make a real difference in your life. Brushing your teeth every day, for example, has numerous benefits.

This chapter presents the basic habits of strong learners—taking notes, preparing for tests, and so on. Adopting and continuing to practice these good learning habits can make an important difference in your academic performance.
