Performing Projects

A performing project, which is ultimately about presenting your work in front of an audience, requires careful preparation and practice. No matter whether you are giving a speech, participating in a debate, or presenting a play, “winging it” will not give you the result you hope for. But “plugging into” a solid plan, including preparation and practice, will.

This chapter features a wide variety of performing projects, from speeches and interviews to debates, dramatic interpretations, and simulations. Proper preparation means you will be able to focus on your message and relate well to your audience.
