Chapter 18

Developing Financial Literacy

You may have heard the phrase “drawing up a financial plan.” It takes careful thought and good information. A well-drawn financial plan is much more than a doodle. After all, there’s a lot to keeping track of money—earning, saving, buying, borrowing, investing, managing.

The truth is, all of us can use some help with financial literacy. Most likely, you’ll need to work for your money, and with the right counsel, you can make your money work for you as well.

This chapter can help, but remember that Thoughtful Learning is not a licensed financial advisor or accounting institution. All your financial questions should be directed to professional financial-services individuals or companies.
